So you got to let me know
Should I stay or should I go?

It's always tease tease tease You're happy when I'm on my knees
One day is fine and next is black
So if you want me off your back Well come on an' let me know
Should I Stay or should I go?

Should I stay or should I go now?

If I go there will be trouble
An' if I stay                  double
So come on and let me know

The Promise

If you        1    (to wait) for me
Then         2      (to come) for you
Although            3     ( to travel) far
I always              (to hold) a place for you in my heart
If you      4      (to think) of me
If you           5       (to miss) me once in a while
Then          6         (to return) to you
I'll return and fill that space in your heart
Remembering
Your touch
Your kiss
Your warm embrace
I'll find my way back to you
If you'll be waiting
If you       7     (to dream) of me
Like I        8      (to dream) of you
In a place that's warm and dark
In a place where I can feel the beating of your heart
Remembering
Your touch
Your kiss
Your warm embrace
I         9      (to find) my way back to you
If you'll be waiting
Oh, I've longed for you
And        10       (to desire)
To see your face, your smile
To be with you wherever you are
Remembering
Your touch
Your kiss
Your warm embrace
I'll find my way back to you
Please say you'll be waiting
Together again
It would feel so good to be
In your arms
Where all my journeys end
If you can make a promise
If it's one that you       11       (to be able) keep
I vow to come for you
If you       12      (to wait) for me
And say you       13     (to hold)
A place for me
In your heart
A place for me in your heart
A place for me in your heart
A place for me in your heart

Task 1: Listen to the strong and make a note of every superlative or comparative
Task 2: Make a note of every image
Task 3: Fill in the blanks
Task 3: Homework: What is the song about; research it.

Wavin Flag by Kannan

When I         1     (to get) older, I        2     (to be)  stronger
They          3       (to call)  me freedom
Just like a waving flag
When I get older, I will be stronger,
They        4      (call) me freedom, just like a Waving Flag,
And then it goes back, and then it goes back,
And then it goes back

To the throne, stronger than Rome
But violent prone, poor people zone,
But it's my home, all I have known,
Where I got grown, streets we would roam.
But out of the darkness, I came the farthest,
Among the hardest survival.
Learn from these streets, it can be bleak,
Accept no defeat
Surrender retreat
So we are struggling,  are fighting to eat and
We  are wondering when       5       (to be) free,
So we patiently         6       (to wait), for that fateful day,
It's not far away, so for now we say

They'll call me freedom, just like a Waving Flag,
And then it goes back, and then it goes back,
And then it goes back
So many wars, settling scores,
Bringing us promises, leaving us poor,
I heard them say, love is the way,
Love is the answer, that        7     (to be) what they say,

But look how they           8       (to treat), make us believers,
We       9       (to fight) their battles, then they       10       (deceive) us,
Try to control us, they couldn't hold us,
'Cause we just        11      (to move) forward like Buffalo Soldiers.

But we struggling, fighting to eat,
And we wondering, when we'll be free
So we patiently wait, for that faithful day,
It's not far away, but for now we say,
When I get older, I will be stronger,
They'll call me freedom, just like a Waving Flag,
And then it goes back, and then it goes back,
And then it goes back

When I get older, I will be stronger,
They'll call me freedom, just like a Waving Flag,
And then it goes back, and then it goes back,
And then it goes back
And everybody will be singing it
And you and I will be singing it
And we all will be singing it
When I get older, I will be stronger,
They'll call me freedom, just like a Waving Flag,
And then it goes back, and then it goes back,
And then it goes back

When I get older, I will be stronger,
They'll call me freedom, just like a Waving Flag,
And then it goes back, and then it goes back,
And then it goes back
When I get older, when I get older
I will be stronger, just like a waving flag,
Just like a waving flag, just like a waving flag
Flag, flag, just like a waving flag

Galileo: Facts, Fiction, Mystery and Science.

Galileo

15 February 1564[3] – 8 January 1642)
Italian
polymath:
astronomer,
physicist,
engineer,
philosopher
and mathematician
scientific revolution
father of scientific method
Venus, Jupiter (named the Galilean moons in his honour), sunspots
heliocentrism not geocentrism
tried by the Inquisition,"vehemently suspect of heresy",
 house arrest
 wrote Two New Sciences

Task 1: Match the words above to the descriptions below

Galileo - Indigo Girls

Galileo's head was on the block
The crime             1           (look) up the truth
And as the bombshells of my daily fears explode
I try to trace them to my youth

And then you had to bring up reincarnation
Over a couple of beers the other night
And now           2        (to serve) time for mistakes
Made by another in another lifetime

(Chorus) How long 'til my soul         3       (to get) it right
Can any human being ever        4       (reach) that kind of light
I call on the resting soul of Galileo king of night vision
King of insight

And then I think about my fear of motion
Which I never could explain
Some other fool across the ocean years ago
Must             5        (crash) his little airplane

(Chorus)

6            (to make neg.) a joke
You know me I take everything so seriously
If we          7        (to wait) for the time till our souls         8       (to get) right
Then at least I know there         9      (to be) no nuclear annihilation in my lifetime
I'm still not right

(Instrumental)

I offer thanks to those before me
That's all I've got to say
'Cause maybe you squandered big bucks in your lifetime
Now I have to pay

But then again it        10      (to feel) like some sort of inspiration
To let the next life off the hook
Or she'll say "look what I had to overcome from my last life
I think               (to write) a book

How long until my soul gets it right
Can any human being ever reach the Highest Light
Except for the Galileo
King of night vision king of insight

How long…
(Til my soul gets it right)
(Til we reach the highest light)
How long…
(Til my soul gets it right)
(Til we reach the highest light)
How long

How could we end it all this way
When tomorrow         4       (to come) and we'll both regret
The things we said today

A love like ours is love that's hard to find
